Our Mission
Supporting those who serve and giving hope to the vulnerable
The foundation exists to stand with 5/19th Special Forces Group unit members and their families in times of hardship, to strengthen bonds within the community, and to extend the Green Beret mission beyond service.
Support in Times of Need
The central purpose of the foundation is to provide direct financial assistance to 5/19th Special Forces Group unit members and their families when unexpected hardship strikes. This may include emergency expenses, medical costs, or crises that threaten a family’s stability. Our goal is to ensure no one connected to the unit faces these challenges alone. By offering timely relief and standing with our community in their most difficult moments, the foundation helps preserve both resilience and peace of mind for those who sacrifice so much in service.
Building Morale and Community
Service is more than a duty. It is a bond that unites those who serve and their families. The foundation works to strengthen that bond by fostering opportunities for connection, camaraderie, and resilience beyond the demands of service. By investing in morale and community, we help ensure that 5/19th Special Forces Group unit members and their families remain united, supported, and strong.
Building Morale and Community
The motto De Oppresso Liber means to liberate the oppressed, and we believe that mission continues beyond our time in uniform. The foundation carries that spirit forward by supporting women and children who have endured abuse, trafficking, and hardship. Through partnerships with local shelters and community initiatives, we aim to provide relief, resources, and encouragement where they are needed most. In this way, the values we serve by remain alive long after service ends.
United Purpose
Each of these commitments reflects more than individual goals. They form a larger promise: that the community will take care of its own, invest in the strength of families, and extend its values into the world beyond service. By providing relief in hardship, building lasting bonds, and carrying forward the spirit of De Oppresso Liber, the foundation ensures that the legacy of this unit is not confined to the battlefield. It continues in the lives we touch, the communities we strengthen, and the hope we bring to those who need it most.
This is the mission that defines us, the standard we uphold, and the impact we are committed to making today and for generations to come.
